This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Hi everyone! I just wanted to take a minute to let everyone know about this great upcoming event. I encourage all comic fans to take this opportunity to try something new, and for all creators and aspiring creators to answer the call and come up with something great. I'm not sure if I'll have something prepared in time, but I'll keep everyone posted. Until then, feel free to visit the link below and learn more!
Here's an excerpt from the website:
Indy Comic Book Week is not only an event, but also a call to action.
DiamondComic Distributors announced they will not ship any new comics for thelast week of December. This company is the primary distributor of comicbooks in North America. What some would call a sad week without ourfavorite mainstream titles, we are calling an opportunity. This vacancyallows independent and small press comic book creators to claim thisweek as their own.
We challenge writers andartists to self publish new material for this week, and offer it totheir local stores. We ask for retailers to take this as an opportunityto showcase local independent talent on the new release shelves. Weencourage fans to break from their buying habits and try something new.
Raiseyour fist and proudly declare that comic books are more than anindustry, more than a handful of corporations it is a creative outletfor independent-minded artists and storytellers. This last week of 2009belongs to you. Power to the people. Right on.
I'm a freelance illustrator. I am currently working in small press comics, specifically, the Havoc 21 anthology from Wolfman Productions International. I also work in portraiture, character design, concept art and logo/apparel design. I accept commission requests.
